FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Clear answers to common appointment and care-information questions.

01How can I request an appointment?

Use the Book Appointment form. It prepares a structured WhatsApp appointment request containing the details you select. This is a request only; the hospital must confirm the actual appointment availability.

02What should I bring to a consultation?

Bring previous consultation notes, pathology or biopsy reports, imaging and investigation results, current medication details and any other documents your treating team has asked you to carry. Keeping the documents in chronological order can also make the consultation easier to navigate.

03Does every patient receive the same treatment?

No. Cancer treatment is individualized. The cancer type and extent, pathology, biomarker information where relevant, previous treatment, other medical conditions and the patient's overall clinical situation can all affect treatment planning.

04What is chemotherapy?

Chemotherapy is treatment with medicines that kill cancer cells or stop their growth. It may be used alone or with other cancer treatments, and schedules vary by cancer type, treatment intent and the medicines selected.

05What is targeted therapy?

Targeted therapy uses medicines designed to act on specific molecules or pathways involved in cancer growth. Some patients need biomarker testing to determine whether a target is present.

06What is immunotherapy?

Immunotherapy helps the immune system fight cancer. Different immunotherapies work differently, and they are used for selected cancers based on clinical assessment and, for some treatments, biomarker information.

07Can chemotherapy be given through a PICC or port?

Yes, intravenous chemotherapy may be delivered through central venous access such as a PICC line or implanted port when clinically appropriate. These devices can also be used for blood draws and other treatments.

08Can I request information through WhatsApp?

The website can prepare an appointment request for WhatsApp. Avoid sending sensitive medical information in the appointment message and use the treating team's clinical channels for medical questions.
